I Love My Bump: Week 8

Wow 8 weeks is here!!!!! We are preparing to go to our first doctor's appointment on July 1st!!

How far along?
8 Weeks!!!!

Trimester?
First

How many days until my due date?
224

How big are the babies?
The babies are the size of jellybeans!!!

What milestone did the babies reach this week?
Still growing! Their heartbeats are getting stronger and faster each week! The brain is rapidly developing and a full nervous system is being carefully organized. A neural tube has closed to form a spinal column. Arm and leg buds are now emerging. They look more like small paddles than limbs right now. Webbed fingers and toes are poking out from their hands and feet, eyelids practically cover their eyes, breathing tubes extend from the throat to the branches of the developing lungs, and the babies tail is just about gone. Their noses and upper lips are now more prominent when viewed on an ultrasound. Isn't God amazing!!

Pregnancy Symptoms?
Tired!!!! I visit the bathroom A LOT!!

Cravings/Aversions?
No cravings...all food is BLAH!

Best moment this week?
Seeing our precious babies!

What I'm looking forward to next week?
Going to the doctor!

What emotions have I experienced this week?
Happiness!!! I'm so thankful for these two miracles! I'm anxious too...I want the time to fly by so I can meet them!!

Boy or Girl?
Hmm??? I did the pencil test and it said two girls and a boy! We said we would do IVF one more time probably and have three kids...so who knows???

Devotional from the book "Expecting Praying for your Child's Development Body & Soul":
This week's devotional was about Ears.
"My sheep listen to my voice; I know them and they follow me." -John 10:27
Lord my baby's ears are now present on the outside of their little heads. What a miracle ears are! I know I take my sense of hearing for granted. I pray for our children's ears-that they will work correctly and be free from infections and other problems. I pray that they will be attentive to the many sounds around them- the trill of a bird in song, the rush of water in a backyard stream, the steady rain beating against their bedroom window. I pray they will marvel at the sounds things make- the beautiful rhythm and cadence, melody and harmony of life. And Lord may they use their ears to listen to you! You speak to us in that still small voice, and if we're not ready and listening, we can miss it. Help them not the miss your voice, Lord. Help them to hear your call on their heart and lives-and heed it!

I Love My Bump: Week 7

Week 7 has come and gone! I feel like time is starting to fly by a little faster!! I can't wait to go to the doctor next week!!

How far along?
7 Weeks

Trimester?
First

How many days until my due date?
231 days

How big are the babies?
The babies are the size of a blueberry

What milestone did the babies reach this week?
They are continuing to grow and have strong heartbeats!! Tiny ear buds have begun to form, but hearing does not develop until week 14. A small tail is visible as a remnant from earlier development. This will disappear as the babies continue to develop. Their hands and feet are starting to sprout from the body! The babies are still considered embryos and have tails, which is an extension of the tailbone. The tail will disappear within a few weeks. The babies have doubled in size since last week. If I could see inside my womb right now...I would spot eyelid folds partially covering the babies peepers, which already have some color. I would also see the top of their noses and their tiny veins beneath parchment-thin skin. Both hemispheres of the babies brain are growing, and their liver is churning our red blood cells until bone marrow forms and takes over this role. The babies have their appendix and a pancreas, which will produce the hormone insulin to aid in digestion. A loop in the babies growing intestine is bulging into their umbilical cords, which now have distinct blood vessels to carry oxygen and nutrients to and from the babies tiny body! Creation is simply indescribable!

Pregnancy Symptoms?
Still tired!!!!

Cravings/Aversions?
No cravings! Most food still sounds bad!

Best moment this week?
Hearing the heartbeats and seeing the growth

What I'm looking forward to next week?
Definitely going to our doctor's appointment and getting a lot of my questions answered by Dr. J

What emotions have I experienced this week?
It's really starting to set in that there are two babies in there. I feel a little overwhelmed but in a good way! I'm anxious...because I want to see them already!

Boy or Girl?
We will have to wait and see...

Nesting?
Not really anymore. The nursery is mostly done. Of course I don't have the bedding on yet and the rest of the decor. I still have to buy a bookcase. Slowly but surely.

Devotional from the book "Expecting Praying for your Child's Development Body & Soul":
This week's devotional focuses on the baby's heart!
"Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply from the heart." -1 Peter 1:22
Lord, my baby's heart has been beating for a couple weeks, but now it can be detected by an ultrasound. I can't wait to see and hear that little heart beating for myself. My baby's heart has both a right and left chamber now. Every day their inner workings get more and more complex-readying them for the outside world. God, I know that the actual heart isn't where our emotions live- but that's the symbolism we use in our culture. I so want our children to be tender-hearted, never calloused or uncaring. I want them to empathize with the plight of others. I want their heart to be pliable- easily squeezed with joy and even easily constricted with pain. I hate to think of their hearts being broken, but a hard heart lacks the capacity to know true love. Lord, will you give them a soft heart, yet protect it as well? May they have a heart for the things you love!

I Love My Bump: Week 6

Week six is coming to an end! At times I feel like it's passing by fast and other times I feel like it's passing by slowly. Everyone has been telling me to enjoy it, because it will be over before I know it!!

How far along?
6 weeks

Trimester?
1st

How many days until my due date?
232

How big are the babies?
The size of a pea

What milestone did the babies reach this week?
They are both growing! One is bigger than the other, I guess maybe it implanted earlier. We heard the heartbeats this week!! Baby A had a heartbeat around 130 and Baby B had a heartbeat of 123! Both heartbeats are within range from that I've read! This weeks major developments: the nose, mouth, and ears. If I could see inside of my uterus, I would find oversize heads and dark spots where the babies eyes and nostrils are starting to form. Their emerging ears are marked by small depressions on the sides of the head, and the arms and legs by protruding buds. The intestines are developing and the bud of tissue that will give rise to the lungs has appeared. The pituitary gland is forming, as are the rest of the babies brain, muscles, and bones.

This was probably the most amazing moment of my life so far!

Pregnancy Symptoms?
Very tired!! I have been taking a nap around 7 every evening and then we are in bed by 10. This has been quite a change for me! I've always been a night owl and stayed up every night until 2 AM. All the other symptoms are about the same. However I was bragging at Church Sunday that I haven't been sick and didn't think I would be sick. Well...Monday I was cooking dinner and Jared had to finish. I couldn't stand the smell of anything. I have been nauseous in the evening, and some during the day. No food but pizza sounds good to me!! I also am hungry all.the.time. I will eat and 30 minutes later feel like I haven't had anything. That's been different for me too! I'm usually busy during the day doing things and sometimes would forget to eat lunch. Not anymore!!!

Cravings/Aversions?
I have been craving PIZZA!! Pizza of any kind, and cheesy bread sticks from Casey's! I ate a whole box one night this week by myself and it was soooo good!! Jared was laughing at me because he said I was making noises while eating! haha! The snack that I'm loving these days which is really healthy..not! Crunchy Cheetos!! Yum Yum Yum!! I also have been wanting to eat Chinese...Sweet and Sour Chicken which I never get!

Food aversions pretty much everything that isn't pizza! I tried eating multiple things and it just doesn't sound good. Jared made a huge dinner one night this week and I choked it down, but the thing was it was one of my favorite meals. I have been drinking lime water from Sonic for two years now and I haven't been able to stomach that either. So Weird! I do like having this feeling sometimes though, because it is reassuring that something is going on in there!

Best moment this week?
Definitely hearing the heartbeats for the first time! It was so surreal and heavenly!!! I mean it is truly amazing how God creates life! I was so thankful for this moment!!

What I'm looking forward to next week?
Just seeing how they grow and hearing their heartbeats getting stronger!

What emotions have I experienced this week?
I have been very relaxed! After hearing those heartbeats I feel so much more at ease!

Boy or Girl?
We don't know yet...however I'm thinking maybe one of each? I for sure think one is a boy :)

Nesting?
Yes! We went shopping this past weekend and bought some more stuff for the nursery!
We got our crib in and I love it!! Jared put it together while I read him the directions.

We ordered the bedding for the nursery!! I'm in love with it!! After searching every website on the planet...we arrived at pottery barn and found the perfect one! The only difference is we added a polka dot yellow crib sheet to add the yellow! It's so adorable and will work for either gender!

And my most favorite purchase of the week...My diaper bag!!! I LOVE the petunia pickle bottom brand!! I can't wait to use it!!!

Jared's mom is working on our baby furniture painting it yellow!! I can't wait to see it!! It is going to look beautiful! My grandma is going to paint the walls light grey tonight and the wall with the crib on it will be striped yellow!

Devotional from the book "Expecting Praying for your Child's Development Body & Soul":
My devotional this week focuses on Life: Blood Circulation.
"I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." -John 10:10
Father, my little baby already has blood circulating through their tiny bodies. What a symbol of life! I don't often think of the blood running through our veins, but that warm, flowing liquid signifies that my baby is alive! Lord, I pray that our children will grow up to be vibrant and full of life. That you will give them such a zeal for living. That they will wake up each morning, energized and excited about what each day holds. Will you help them feel physically alive, in tune with their bodies and excited about all it can do? Will you help them to feel emotionally alive, in touch with their feelings and all that they entail? Will you help her feel mentally alive, full of questions and ideas about the world around them? And will you help them feel spiritually alive, completely aware of your presence and always growing in their relationship with you? Thank you for the miracle of blood, Lord. And the gift of life!

A Surreal Moment...

Our crib came in yesterday and it's adorable!!! We decided to only get one crib for the two babies to share. I've read a lot about it and I think they will enjoy being together, I mean they are in my stomach together for 9 months. We packed up our extra bedroom in order to prepare the room for the babies.

Jared put our crib together while I sat and read him the directions. It was the most surreal moment of my life so far! We were actually putting a crib together after all this time!!! I woke up this morning and walked by the bedroom, and it was so strange to see a crib in there!! We are so thankful and excited!

We are going to babies r us today to order some more stuff and do our registry. People probably think we are crazy, but they probably didn't have to wait 3 years to get pregnant either. I have all of the nursery bedding picked out and now we have to paint, paint, paint!! I'm so excited to get the ball rolling. Time will fly by I just know it!

All About the Babies!

I started writing letters to our unborn child about our journey to get him or her or both lol. I wanted them to see not only how badly we wanted them, but I wanted them to see our Faith in God and how He works in miraculous ways. It is so important for us to raise our children to love and follow our Heavenly Father! This is the biggest responsibility that we will be given in our life. Not just caring for our children, but being held accountable for them. We know that they are God's children and He is just entrusting them to us. I pray every night for our unborn children, not only their physical well being, but their spiritual well being! I also pray every night that we will be the parents God wants us to be! Being a parent is the most amazing gift! I can't wait!!

I also got my "Belly Book" in the mail today! I'm so excited to journal about all of the private things that I may not want to blog about! It will be something to look back on later as well. Our babies will be here before we know it!!!

Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.
-Proverbs 22:6

And Then There Were TWO...

Jared and I decided to run into the hospital to do another scan to see how our little bean was progressing. I was thinking it should have a yolk sac by now! No heartbeat yet, still to early. We got to the hospital and Jared went through his routine of prepping everything. I love seeing him in action! He is so good at his job and I'm so proud of him. How amazing he got to see and scan his baby for the first time!?

I laid on the table praying to God the entire time that we would at least see some growth. It's a weird time right now because you have no idea what's going on in there and if everything is going as planned. You just have to have Faith. There our little bean was on the screen...bigger! So it's growing and it has a yolk sac! I immediately thanked God over and over again.

Baby A

Then Jared says, "Umm raise up a little." So I did. He said, "Oh my gosh babe, there's baby #2!" I said WHAT??? Tears came pouring out of my eyes. Two!!!! I wanted twins from the get go...but it really happened!? We sat there and stared at the screen for quite a while looking at our little babies. Both of them were growing and both had a yolk sac!!! That's what I prayed for! After we got our cd of pictures, we headed home. Walking to the car was so surreal. We were both in shock! I mean we already bought a crib for just one baby. Now another one??? What a blessing!!! God definitely gave us a double blessing!! We are of course thanking Him for this gift and praying he will protect them and help them to keep growing.

Baby B

Wow...TWINS!!! I just can't believe it!!! I'm so grateful and excited for this life we have!!

Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,
The fruit of the womb is a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a warrior,
So are the children of one’s youth.
Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them;
They shall not be ashamed,
But shall speak with their enemies in the gate.
-Psalm 127:3-5

I Love My Bump: Week 5

How many weeks pregnant?
5 weeks!!

Which trimester am I in?
I'm in the 1st trimester!

How many days until my due date?
245

How big is Baby Politte?

Baby Politte is the size of an apple seed and is shaped like a tadpole!

What milestone has Baby Politte reached this week?
The baby is in the yolk sac and oxygen and nutrients will be delivered from the uterus to the embryo by the umbilical cord. The embryos are made up of three layers- the ectoderm, mesoderm, and endoderm-which will later form all of the organs and tissues. In the top layer, ectoderm, the neural tube is starting to develop. Eventually the baby's brain, spinal cord, nerves, and backbone will sprout from here. This ectoderm will also give rise to skin, hair, nails, mammary and sweat glands, and tooth enamel. The baby's heart and circulatory system begin to form in the middle layer or mesoderm. This week the heart divided into chambers and beat and pump blood. The mesoderm will also form the baby's muscles, cartilage, bone, and under skin tissue. The endoderm will house the lungs, intestines, and rudimentary urinary system, as well as the thyroid, liver, and pancreas. In the meantime the placenta, and umbilical cord are already on the job!

Pregnancy symptoms?
Still the same symptoms, crying easily, peeing a lot, bloated, hungry all the time, and I get winded easily. My heart races sometimes.

Cravings?
I am still craving anything salty! I'm addicted to lime water from sonic with extra lime. It's so sour but so good!!

Food aversions?
None yet :) I've heard that might start this week or next.

What was the best moment this week?
The best moment this week was yesterday when Jared and I went to the hospital and he did an ultrasound to see if we could see anything...and we did!

What am I looking forward to next week?
Hopefully seeing if there is more than one baby for sure!

What emotions have I experienced this week?
I've been very relaxed more so than last week! Very excited and anxious to hear the heartbeat!!

Am I wearing maternity clothes?
Yep!! I bought my first maternity dress! Other than that, just shirts still.

Stretch marks?
None yet :)

Has my belly button popped out yet?
Not yet!

Have I felt any kicks?
No, but can't wait!

Boy or Girl?
???

Sleep?
Sleeping well! Still tired late afternoon/early evening and usually take a nap! In bed by 10!

Have I been nesting?
Yes! I'm trying to figure out what baby bedding to get! I am ordering our chair for the nursery today and possibly the crib too!

Devotional from the book "Expecting Praying for your Child's Development Body & Soul":
This week it's all about the baby's brain!
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength." -Mark 12:30
Lord, I've barely had time to process that I'm pregnant, and my baby's tiny brain is already forming and developing. Such a miracle! What a complex organ the human brain is. I can't hope to ever understand it completely, but I take comfort in the fact that you designed it and know it inside and out. I pray that you will bless our child with a fully functioning brain. May every cell and every lobe work precisely the way you designed it to work. May he/she constantly be learning and making new connections. I pray that I might do my part to make his/her environment conducive to intellectual stimulation and growth. Their IQ doesn't matter, as long as they make the most of what you have given him/her. Father, help him/her to use his/her mind in hundreds of positive ways. Bless them with intelligence so that he/she might use it to be a blessing to others. Help he/she to love you, Lord, not just with his/her heart but with his/her mind.

There it was...

Jared and I went in to do a scan to see if we could see anything. It is early, so we were not planning on seeing anything, but it was worth a shot! Karsyn was down visiting for the week so she went along with us. Jared got all of his gear prepped and ready to go. I laid down on the table and the ultrasound began. I was eagerly searching the screen looking for something! Then there it was...a gestational sac! Tears immediately came to my eyes. I have been waiting three years to see this on the screen! Our baby was growing and there it was!! Contrary to what we believed and what others believed there was only one. We are so excited to have one!! We have waited so long for this, we will take whatever God wants to give us. It is so amazing how far God has brought us in this journey. It seems like yesterday we were talking about going through IVF and now here we are looking at the sac holding our baby on the screen! Words cannot begin to express the feelings and emotions that I have inside of me. I can't wait to hear this little baby's heartbeat for the first time, watch the baby grow, feel the baby kick, and then hold and kiss my baby in the end! We are so thankful to God for this little miracle! He has great plans for our family!!

4 Years Ago Today...

Four years ago today, I married my best friend! Jared has been God's greatest gift to me. He is such a wonderful man of God and strives everyday to be the best husband and provider he can be. If I could draw up the perfect man, Jared would be the end result. It amazes me how smart he is and how he is always furthering himself in his career. He loves learning new things and trying to achieve his goals more and more everyday. This was by far our best anniversary yet! We found out three days ago (officially) that we are pregnant!! It was the best news in time for our anniversary! If I could have thought up a better life, it wouldn't come close to this one! I'm so thankful for my husband and I love him more and more everyday. I can't wait until I see him hold our baby!! I will fall in love with him all over again in a different way! I can't wait until we can experience that moment in our lives together! He is going to be the best daddy! I truly could not ask for more!

My anniversary present from Jared...the baby carriage charm is a perfect addition!

"But at the beginning of creation God 'made them male and female.'  'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife,  and the two will become one flesh.' So they are no longer two, but one.  Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate."
-Mark 10:6-9

I Love My Bump: Week 4

Well we found out we are officially pregnant from the doctor!! We are beyond thrilled and excited! We are thanking God everyday for our little miracle!! Time for the Bump!!!!!

How many weeks pregnant?
I am four weeks pregnant this week!! (according to my baby app)

Which trimester am I in?
I am in the first trimester

How many days until my due date?
Around 251?

Have we told anyone about the pregnancy yet?
Yes we have told everyone...not our original plan, but when you go a different route it's a little difficult to keep secrets. But in the end we are happy to tell people about God's gift to us!

How big is Baby Politte?
Baby Politte is the size of a poppy seed!!!

What milestone has Baby Politte reached this week?
Baby Politte has implanted and is growing!!! This week marks the beginning of the embryonic period- the most dramatic and vulnerable period of development. From now until 10 weeks, all of the baby's organs will begin to develop and some will start to function. As a result, this is the time when the baby will be most vulnerable to anything that might interfere with normal development. The primitive placenta is made up of two layers at this point. It's cells are tunneling into the lining of the uterus, creating spaces for my blood to flow. When the developed placenta starts to function at the end of this week, it will provide nutrients and oxygen to the growing baby! Also present now are the amniotic sac, which will house the baby; the amniotic fluid, which will cushion the baby as he/she grows; and the yolk sac, which produces the baby's red blood cells and helps deliver nutrients until the placenta has developed and is ready to take over this duty.

Pregnancy symptoms?
Bloated!!! Extremely tired and I get winded from just doing the laundry lol! Peeing A LOT! Like 4 times a night at least and all day long haha. Crying all the time over things that are silly or tv shows.

Cravings?
I am craving pickles!!! I've had two jars of pickles and a jar of olives within 3 days. Bad I know..I just couldn't stop myself!

Food aversions?
No food aversions yet!

What was my best moment this week?
Definitely finding out we were pregnant! Standing in babies-r-us bawling my eyes out hugging Jared! It was official!

What am I looking forward to next week?
Maybe seeing a sac?? At 5 weeks I'm hoping to get to see something!!

What emotions have I experienced this week?
Overwhelmed! I still can't believe this is real.

Am I wearing maternity clothes?
Yep! As crazy as it sounds...I'm wearing maternity clothes. Just shirts. My pants are still ok for now...but I have a feeling the size 4's are gonna be out the door soon!

Stretch marks?
Not yet!! :)

Has my belly button popped out yet?
Not yet. But my belly is swollen and it looks as though my belly button is disappearing haha

Have I felt any kicks?
Not yet...Can not wait for this day!!

Boy or Girl?
We don't know yet. We honestly don't care. Just a healthy baby!

Have we decided on names yet?
Yes! When it takes you almost 3 years to get pregnant...you have your names ready to go!  For sure our girl name is Harper! we also like Gabriella (Gabby), Juliet, Piper. Our Boy names are Cruz, Jaxson, Julien, Liam, Luca, Reid.

Sleep or no sleep?
Sleep...and as much of it as I can get. I usually crash around 5 or 6 for a quick cat nap. We are in bed every night by 10.

Dreams?
I have had two pregnant dreams... Jared and I were at the beach vacationing both times. I had a belly! Could this be a premonition?!

Have I been nesting?
Yes! We have started buying baby things, and we are getting ready to start on the nursery. The colors of the nursery will go for either gender. So I'm excited to get the ball rolling!!

Devotional from the book "Expecting Praying for your Child's Development Body & Soul":
This weeks devotional is about Implantation.
"These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up." -Deuteronomy 6:6-7
Lord, right now my baby's home is a gestational sac that will help cushion and protect him/her in the months to come. He/she is in the safest place he/she can be, and I thank you for your perfect design that helps ensure his/her survival and comfort. Will you help me make our home a safe haven too? I want our child to always feel like he/she can be themselves, let his/her hair down in our home. I want him/her to feel like Mom and Dad are his/her biggest allies, that we would give ourselves to guarantee his/her safety and security. May our home be the place he/she runs to when he/she needs shelter from the storms of life. May our home be a place he/she feels comfortable bringing his/her friends. May our home be a place where he/she learns about Jesus and feels His presence. I'm so thankful that our child will begin his/her life in a home with a family. If only every child were so blessed!

We are PREGNANT!!!!

Jared and I had our beta test this morning. We got there at 9:00 AM.  They took my blood and Dr. J did a scan on me to see how my ovaries were doing. They are swollen, but he wasn't concerned. We left and went to the mall to kill time...we won't hear the results until 2:30 or later! We decided to go to babies r us and look around. We were looking at car seats at 2:30 when my phone rang. It was Ashley from Dr. J's office...this was a good sign because she told me I would hear her voice if it was good!! She said Alis not only are you pregnant, but your really pregnant! I lost it right there in babies r us. Crying and shaking, I couldn't even hardly talk to her. I heard those words...you're pregnant. We have waited three years to hear that! All the years of waiting, disappointments, sadness, stress, shots, and medication was all worth it! My beta number was 550!!  Which is a good, high number! My estrogen and progesterone were good also!! Courtney then got on the phone and told me what I needed to do next and made my appointment for our first scan to hear the heartbeat!!! We go July 1st, 4 more weeks, to hear the heartbeat or heartbeats. They think there may be two in there given my number being so high!!!  Jared and I hugged and shared some tears after the phone call. Most of all we PRAISED GOD!!! He is the giver of life and He gave this life to us!! I can't begin to express my feelings at this point. It amazing that this all worked our according to His plan! I am beyond elated and excited!! We feel so truly blessed!! It's better than I ever imagined!

We decided to go buy some baby balloons to give to our parents to tell them it's official. It was so much fun telling all of them. Even though they knew...it made it so real!! Karsyn is here for the week visiting and she took a picture of us to announce on the blog and social media. I can't believe there is a human life inside of me! We are putting our trust in God to protect us and our baby/ies. We never planned on telling people until we were three months along before, but after going through this journey we knew that we would have to let people know! God got us this far, He has a plan, and will take care of us and our baby!!

"For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition which I asked of Him. Therefore I also have lent him to the Lord; as long as he lives he shall be lent to the Lord." So they worshipped the Lord there.
-1 Samuel 1:27

Two Week Wait

This has been the slowest yet enjoyable time so far! I have had some cramping...thought it was over. I have been tired, hungry (I ate two jars of pickles in two days), I have to use the restroom a lot, crying,  and probably the most shocking symptom bloating. I look and feel like I have gained 10 pounds since the transfer.

I decided on Memorial Day that I would take a test and just see if it said anything. I cried most of the day and was emotional lol. I took the test that afternoon and it was positive 6dp3dt. I of course had to continue testing and the lines kept getting darker and darker! I had been saving one pregnancy test for almost two years now. It's not a line test but it says that beautiful word pregnant! So on 7dp3dt I decided to take the digital test that afternoon. After almost 2 minutes it popped up PREGNANT! Wow...I started crying and fell to my knees. Is this real? Is it to early? On 8dp3dt I continued my testing and the line kept getting darker and I had another digital pregnant. So over the course of the past 7 days...I've taken 28 pregnancy tests. Crazy...I know. But when you wait almost 3 years to see that word it's worth it!!!

Our official beta is tomorrow!! I'm so nervous and excited to see our numbers. If I'm not pregnant then something is seriously wrong in here haha.

Grace is God doing for us what we could never do and what we will never deserve!

Devotional from the book "Expecting Praying for your Child's Development Body & Soul":
This week's devotional is about Conception!
"My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be." -Psalm 139:15-16
Father, my baby is here! He/she exists! I believe with all my heart that life begins at conception, and my child has been conceived! I can hardly wrap my mind around it. I know scientists call it a zygote, nothing more than a bunch of cells dividing again and again, but I know I have a miracle inside my body. A baby! Part of his/her daddy, part of me. And in nine short months, I'll hold him/her in my arms. I praise you for the mystery and miracle of life! As our baby's cells divide, I can't help but think of the other kinds of dividing he/she will do someday. He/she will have to divide truth from lies. He/she will need to divide his/her time among his/her many responsibilities. And someday, he/she will divide-break away- from his/her daddy and I and cleave to his/her spouse. God, please bless our child with discernment and wisdom. May he/she know the difference between good and evil, truth and falsehood. And may he/she never be separated-divided-from your love.
