IUI Ultrasound Scan #1

It's 7:50 AM and I am getting ready to go get my scan done today to see if the medicine is working. I'm nervous!!! I hope that it worked but didn't overstimulate. My grandma is going with me to my appt. because it's a little difficult for Jared to get off work so many days in one week! Here's to a good report! It's all in God's hands!

UPDATE:
The ultrasound went very well!! Dr. J was very pleased with the progress he saw. I have four follicles growing on the right and two on the left. However, my uterine lining was thin due to the clomid. So I have to start Follistim injections 25iu a day to build up my lining and increase my estrogen levels. This medication is expensive and I wasn't planning on having to pay that much! There God goes again showing me I can't control and plan everything out perfectly!!! I did my first shot when I got home administered by Jared. It didn't hurt at all. Just a little pinch on the belly and in it goes. The worst part is the bruising after. Not pretty...but hopefully worth it!

Meds Day 2

Today Jared and I had to take zithromax and doxycycline to prevent infection for the IUI. I felt pretty uneasy most of the day. Tomorrow is our first scan!!! Hoping we see some good follicles growing!

Starting Meds

Today was my first day of taking clomid to prep my body for the IUI. It was rough. I am on 100mg for this procedure which is double what I've been on before. I got a severe headache (I guess going off caffeine didn't help matters any.) I got sick to my stomach and was sick most of the night. I just kept thinking..."This is worth it." I'm praying everyday that God will show mercy on us and extend his grace for our situation. God has a plan...and I'm pretty sure it's going to be better than I could ever imagine!!!

And the Journey Begins...

Well we are about to embark on a wild ride...we decided after a long break and prayer, to do IUI. We felt like we have been trying for 2 1/2 years now so its time to officially start treatments. I'm nervous and scared that it won't work. But you have to believe to receive. I know God has a plan for Jared and I and I know whatever the outcome in the end he will see us through. Its been a hard journey, but knowing God is all you need is what gets me through. We don't need everything else in our life as long as we have Him! I don't need a baby to be normal. I don't need a baby to be a real woman. I don't need a baby to validate our relationship. I want a baby because it's a gift from God and I want to share it with Jared. I know that if this isn't God's will for this to work out...it won't. I have to rest in the fact that God will take care of us. He knows everything already!! I go in one week from today to have my first ultrasound. Until then, I'll be on my knees praying God will allow this to work.

Another Wedding!!!!

My oldest and dearest friend, Audrey, got engaged FINALLY!!! She has been waiting for this for a very, very long time! I'm so happy that she found someone to share her life with!!! October 12th is the big day!!! Until then we've got a wedding to plan!!!

Jordan's Graduation!!

We went to Springfield today to celebrate Jordan's graduation from Missouri State! We had a very fun day and are very proud of Jordan!!!

The End to the Twilight Saga...

We went to Kansas City this weekend to see the last installment of the Twilight series! I'm so sad it's over!!! But it was a great movie! We had about 20 people with us in our group to go see the movie. It was a lot of fun!
