Triple Stripe, Yippee!!

I had my third ultrasound today...and it couldn't have been better! I have 20 follicles growing now! Dr. J said I was responding very well to the meds! I also had a triple stripe uterine lining. I haven't ever had that before, so I was pretty excited about that! I have read so much about triple stripe lining and now I could actually see what it really looks like! From what I have learned about it...a triple stripe is ideal for implantation!  I also got to decrease my dose of follistim to only my usual 100 units in the morning and no evening shot!!! Yay!! I am so happy to be getting rid of at least one shot. So I'm down to two a day right now. My next ultrasound is Wednesday, and it's looking like I will have my egg retrieval Saturday morning. I'm excited and nervous for the retrieval, but people go through it everyday. I'm so excited I can't hardly see straight!

This is one of my ovaries with quite a few follicles!!!

A friend, Tricia Larue, told me about this book entitled, Expecting: Praying for your Child's Development Body & Soul. By: Marla Taviano
I'm so excited to have this book while on my pregnancy journey! How awesome to have something each week to pray about for the baby and myself. I highly recommend this book to anyone expecting or planning to have a baby! It's an amazing look into God's creation and what is most important in life...Jesus. Throughout my pregnancy each week I am going to post that week's devotional!

Devotional "Expecting: Praying for your Child's Development Body & Soul":
This first week is all about the uterine lining!
"Before I formed you in the womb I know you, before you were born I set you apart.) -Jeremiah 1:5
God, I know it's never too early to pray for my future children. Thoughts of motherhood have always had a place in my mind and heart. I'm not naïve enough to think it will be easy, but I know I can do this with you by my side. God, will you watch over my body as it prepares to welcome a child into my womb? Will you work everything out for good and make sure the conditions are just right for conception? I want to start praying even now for the child who will someday rest in our arms. Would you protect that baby? Would you help him/her grow up to be healthy and happy? To be a child who falls in love with Jesus and never stops growing in his/her relationship with you? Please give me the discipline to pray for my child every day for the rest of my life.

Happy Mother's Day!

We had a very fun Mother's Day this year! Jared's parents invited my family out to their house for dinner. We had a ton of wonderful food and lots of family! It was nice having both of our families there at the same time!!

My grandma is my role model. She is a Godly woman and she is always there for me. She has taught me about life, love, parenting, and most of all God. I can't imagine my life without her, and I thank God everyday for her! She is the best mother anyone could ask for! I love her very, very much!!!

My mother-in-law is also a wonderful woman! She is very loving, caring and compassionate. She raised a strong, independent, handsome, smart man that I call my husband. I thank God everyday for her raising such a wonderful man! I'm so blessed to have these wonderful women in my life.

I'm very thankful for such a wonderful family!

All I Wanted...

All I wanted was a walk-in closet! This week has been very, very hectic! We hired some men to come in and fix us a walk-in closet...and well that turned into our sewer being full and backing up under the house. So...we had to replace our entire house with new pipes which involved digging up our yard. A job that was supposed to be done in a couple days turned into over a week. However, tomorrow is the last day and everything will be finished! I can't wait. I'm so excited! I feel like it's been a long time coming getting to this point.

On top of all of that..I've been sick with allergies. I am finally starting to feel better, but not back to normal. My goal this week is to rest and get better for the egg retrieval Friday!! YAY! It's finally almost here! I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow!! Hoping I get good news again!

How Many Are Growing?

I went to the doctor today and got good news...I have around 18 follicles that are growing! I was so excited, relieved, and wow 18!!! Everything looked good and I got to decrease my follistim dose in the evening. I'm getting to the point where I'm tired of the shots! They are totally ruling my life. We have a schedule of when to do them and making sure we are on time!! My skin is now very sensitive so it's uncomfortable when I get the shots. I have tons of little red dots all over my belly from the lupron and follistim shot. Thank goodness I haven't been brusing like I have in the past! This process is moving right along and it will be over before I know it! Even though I'm uncomfortable and nauseus at times...I'm still thanking God for the process. He is taking care of me and comforting me! God is our strength!

Shots, Stress, and Sickness...Oh my!

I started my follistim shots this morning. 100 units at 7AM  and 100 units at 7PM. I'm anxious to see how I do...I've only been on 50 units once a day before. On top of doing three shots a day (still have my lupron shot in the mix) my sinuses are messed up! Fun! My throat is sore and my nose is a runny mess. I'm hoping I start feeling better soon! It's not fun feeling bad because of the shots and now this. The goal is to rest, rest, rest!

AND on top of all that,  we had a very stressful day...we are remodeling our office into a big walk-in closet. Well we ran into a problem...clay pipes throughout our house,(gotta love old houses). So tomorrow morning we are having all of the piping replaced and new lines ran. Should be a good time. This was a MAJOR meltdown. This was the first time that I really realized my hormones are crrrazy! I cried and cried and cried over this problem that will be fixed in no time. I'm so thankful my husband and grandparents are understanding of my roller coaster emotions. They calmed me down and reassured me that everything was fine and was going to be better than before. I'm excited now to get this process going and getting our house in the best condition possible for someone to buy!

A Very Productive Day!!

I had my first ultrasound appt. this morning, and all went well!! My shot has been doing its job of down regulating my body. My lining was good at this point and my blood work was good! I was so relieved after the appointment!! I start my follistim shots on Monday morning and I go back to the doctor next Friday.

My grandma and I had a very successful day shopping!! I LOVE my new purse!! I've been eyeing it up for a while! I bought a Ton of things for our new walk in closet (which is more like a dressing room/boutique lol!) Hopefully our closet will be done by next weekend. Yay!!! So much going on right now!! I'm so thankful that God has blessed our life beyond what we ever imagined! He provides so much for us! We are blessed!

Will I Sleep Tonight?

Well it's finally here...my first ultrasound is tomorrow morning at 10:30! I'm nervous, excited, anxious, excited, stressed, excited....did I mention I'm excited??? I am SOOOO glad it's finally time to start all of my appointments and more shots! It seems like this past month has been the slowest month of my life!!!

Jared and I filled out all of our paperwork tonight...there was A LOT to sign! It felt so surreal reading and signing all of that paperwork.

Here we go!! I hope I can sleep tonight! I'm so pumped!!!
